Should I upgrade? Please advice.
 
I have panny CT-32HX42 HD ready TV with 2 years old Toshiba DVD player(SD2200). I want to upgrade to a progressive player, but not sure will I actually tell the different in picture quility(what I mean is - do I need have eagle eye to see the improvement)
If I should upgrade, please recommand a player under $250.

Yes, you'll see a difference! Grab a Panasonic RP-82, or it's 5 disc changer brother the CP-72 and you'll love it!

of course if your set locks into full mode when fed a 480p signal, and you have a decent amount of non-anamorphic and 4x3 discs, then you will want a player with aspect ratio control, such as the Panny RP-91, Tosh 3800/400, or JVC SA600/602 ( I would recommend the JVC 500/502, but it doesn't allow you to override an improperly flagged disc like the 600 series)

Thanks for the reply.

After reading a lot of posts, I believe panny rp82 is the best for my price range. I know it is next to impossible to buy one right now. Does anyoneknow if it is just temporary situation, or this model is being discontinue (heard xp50 is the replacement). Thanks
