Help with Optical Cable, a PS2, & a HTB 205

hey all,

I'm new to the boards and i was recommend here cause you are good people...

I recently bought the Kenwood HTB 205 and i'm trying to connect my PS2 using an Aucousitc Research Optical Cable.

I have the video input (yellow) of the PS2 in the Video 2 slot and i have the optical cable (OC) in the only OC slot. The red and white are unconnected.

In the PS2 menu i turned on the Digital Out (optical) setting.

I read the Kenwood manual and it says if you are using digital sound to connect the video cable into video2 (that's what i did)

When i power everything up the can see the video but no sound comes out!!

if i left anything out please let me know...

PS: i know the speakers work because they work fine when i use my satilte reciever, which uses an S-Video connection to the TV and the red and white cables to the reciever

PSS: i also powered up the PS2 and disconnected the Optical cable and to see if i saw a little red light and i did.

this is the link to the HTB i bought:

Try checking the manual to see if it says anything about having to set something on the receiver so that it will use the Optical In.
