Avia set up and monitor menus.

Greetings and Happy Holidays !

Hopefully this hasn't been covered before, but search really didn't help
Does anyone else have a problem concentrating on the Avia test patterns while setting up your monitor-I have a Toshiba direct view and the setup menu takes up most of the screen w/it's various catagories so the Avia patterns are behind them,on other sets I have-you can get just one
catagory (tint/color/picture)down at the bottom of the screen, and it doesn't interfere quite so much as where the Tosh.has them all listed from top to bottom.
Anyway around this? or some suggestions from those of you w/the same problem? I would appreciate it. Thanx!

CHEERS ! jefff

So you're saying it's your TV's menu that gets in the say, not Avia's menus or patterns?

You might look for a setting on your Toshiba that will move the menu. I know computer monitors often have this, but it might be a little too advanced for a TV. But look for settings that affect only the menu. Maybe there's one that will make it fainter?

I haven't had to look for any setting like that because my RPTV's menu is pretty good about getting out of the way. The setting even shifts itself out of the way based on what point you are converging. But the menus where you choose which setting you want to adjust do cover much of the screen. I know it would drive me crazy if the individual settings didn't move to the bottom and leave the rest of the screen clear.
