Need help with Antenna Issue

Not sure if this is the right forum. Anyways, any assistance would be helpful.

I recently purchased the "irock". For those unaware of what it is...it is a wireless transmitter with a 1/8" stereo plug. Simply tune in to certain stations (88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7).

For a couple of reasons I decided to try this route as apposed to a simple Y adaptor and some cable.

Unfortunately, I am getting a lot of static tuning into these channels.

THE QUESTION IS, is there any way of reducing this? I have a Pioneer reciever and at this point no 'real' antenna. Would an antenna of a certain level or quality help to solve this problem?

Is there some type of 'amp' for antennas that would do the trick?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i remember radioshack had some type of anteanna that it would plug into an electrical outlet and you connect a coax cable instead of the antenna. not sure if it worked well or not.
