any denon 3801 owners here?

I have one and just recently discovered that if I set my front speakers to small in the setup I can add a total of 9 speakers by using the A+B option for surrounds. Anyone doing this? If so, how do you like it?

Thanks,
Steak

I thought I was the only one who had a 3801. Seems like everyone has the 3802 model. I have not tried this setup however I am not sure you are supposed to drive all 9 speakers. I thought a read a warning if you are using certain surround fields doing so. Or I am just crazy. Anyway, It would seem that you would only get sound from all 9 using 7 channel stereo or matrix. Just a hunch. I have 7 speakers set up in a home theater I constructed. The rear centers are one channel. In order to do true 7.1 I need to hook up another amp to drive the 7th channel.

To me the ability to switch would be useful if I was driving speakers in another room in stereo mode.

the way I read the manual, you would be able to get all 9 speakers to work at the same time. the 2 additional speakers would output the same as the left right surrounds.
