couldnt find the answer to this in the FAQ thread:

I have a TV with only s-video inputs. Can I not use the progressive scan feature of my new panny rp62? Manual makes it sound like I cant without having composite hookups...yay or nay? thanks in advance

You would need to use component cables but you also need a TV that's capable of accepting a progressive signal (HD ready).
