just wonder cuz most of the the rear proj HDTV TV's (including mine) only does 480P

I'm not sure about other Panasonic models but I have the 47wx42 and it won't display 720p at all (it doesn't convert, there's just a blank screen).

This years panasonics do not do 720p like they did in the past. Now realize that most HD decoders will convert it to 1080i so you can still watch 720p telecasts.

I think most Plasma and other flat panel HDTV's do 720 native.

My Sharpvision does 720p.
