noob to plasma talk
 

do plasma tv's need some certain recievers to watch with? i heard something like a HD TV reciever? can any one clear me up on this? thnx

I would think they need a video source that conforms to the video signal they are looking for. The best receiver would output a signal that best meets the horizontal/vertical and other specifications of the display.

It would also depend on whether the display has component in, VGA in, or s-video in. You'd need a receiver to match that type of input.
