How do you measure bitrate on your DVD player?
Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes.......
Was always wondering how eveyone knows the bitrate of DTS or Dolby Digital recordings on their DVDs. Does the DVD player display the bitrate? If yes, how do you find this information out? If no, how do you find this information out?
Curious with the Dolby Digital vs. DTS or Are Superbit DVDs worth it? debates that are going on.
Thanks in advance.

My pioneer player has a display option for bitrate. You can select it from the remote, I believe the display button toggles from chapter/time to time remaining to bitrate. Other brands probably do it differently.

My Toshiba 2109 which is an old player displays the bit rate. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it displays the number of megabytes read per second. Supposedly the the higher the number the better it looks.
