What's the best 25"- 27" TV I can buy?
In terms of picture quality and I'll most likely be using it for DVD usage as well as some TV here and then. So most likely 4:3?
Is Sony WEGA a good choice? Or is there some awesome performance-price ratio performer you guys are aware of?
Thanks for your help!
Note: Also, what would be a decent, rather budget cheap progressive-scan DVD player to go with the TV? Again, thanks.

Check out the Samsung 27" HDTVs. They'e only a litle more than a 27" Wega (they go for around $650 -$750), look just as good and add in HD functionality.

As far as performance-price ratio, check out the Akai flat screens sold at Sams Club. They are made by Samsung and rebadged as Akai. they sell for around $379 and compare very well to a VVega. The Akai/Samsungs are thought of very highly in this forum or on HTF , do a search and you wll find alot of favorable input
