reciever with s video

Im trying to decide to buy surround sound system but cant figure out what type reciever shoudl i buy a one svideo connection are not , my tvs alreadys has two and i only it need for my satelite and dvd . what porpose dose it serve and would it be worth it to spend the extra money.

Personally, as long as the screen on which you're viewing has enough inputs, I've never seen the point of routing video signals through your audio receiver.

If you, for example, only have one component input and 2 or 3 component sources, then utilizing a receiver's component video switching features is going to be worthwhile.

I just posted a related question to this topic.

Is there any signal/quality loss to the audio if you run it through the TV and then the receiver?
