Need help shopping for 55" - 65" Widescreen Projection TV
I'm starting to shop for a 55" to 65" Widescreen TV.
I'm having trouble figuring out what features to compare, what features are a must have, what features are nice to have but not necessary.
Some stores say that 6-lens elements are the highend TVs and the low end have 3 or 4-lens elemnts. Others tell me that the number of lens elements do not matter any more because of advance in technology. Appaerntly more lens means sharper image on edges of the screen.
Then there is the "progressive 3:2 pull down" and "DVI interface" Not sure what these are.
The following I have been told are the best brands for Widescreen projection TVs (Not in any particular order):
Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Philips, Pioneer.
So if somebody can put things in perspective for me, with regards to How to shop for a Widescreen TV, I'll be very greatful. Thanks in advance for your input.

In the $3000 range, you have many great sets to choose from. I recommend the Mits sets as a great place to start.
In this thread "brianluvdvd" found a great deal on a 2002-2003 65" Mits WS-65311:
