Best Non-Flat 27" TV.
 

I've decided I'm going to definitely replace by 20" Wega (it's just too small for my room) with a 27" TV. I don't have enough to spend on a flat TV but I figure I can get around $150 selling the Wega.

What would be the best brand of 27" non-flat:

Samsung
Panasonic
Philips
Toshiba

All of them are in the $250-$270 price range.

Panasonic. Good sound, good tube. Have a 32" myself I love dearly after 2 faithful years.

If you can put together $350 or so you can get the 27" flat screen Akai at Sam's Club. It's a clone of Samsung's 27" flat screen set.

I was thinking about the Akai but its too wide. I can't notice too much of a difference between flat and non-flat 27" especially from my viewing distance.

I just got a 27" non-flat Panasonic (about $280-299 retail) and it's great. 2-line digital comb filter and 600 lines resolution, best non-flat 27" I could find after researching. A friend of mine has that 27" flat Akai and that is a nice set also.
