DTS doesn't sound good??

For some reason on most of my dts dvds, if not all, the dolby digital track sounds much better than the dts track. the dts track is much, much quieter than the dolby digital and does have as good bass or pick up the small sounds. any reasons why? thanks!

Depending on who you listen to, the DTS track should be anywhere from significantly better to at least as good. Other than havinga DTS compatible player, receiver and DVD, I know of nothing that can really go wrong. this may be more of a hardware issue.

Sounds like a hardware issue to me... moving thread.

sorry about the double post.

i have no idea why my dts doesn't sound good. i have a denon avr-4802 reciever, a denon dvm-4800 dvd player, and top of the line definitive speakers. all of these were bought new only 4 or 5 months ago. do you think there could be something wrong with the way my system is set up? all my dolby digital tracks sound excellent just the dts is weak.
