Pleeeeeeze help! whats the best TV I can buy with $400

Heres my dillemma. Ive got 400 bucks and want the best for my money. So far the front runner is a 24 inch flat screen Sony Wega for 399. Let me give you so info that might help you, help me. I want a TV between 24-27 inches due to room space. I own an Xbox which I also play my dvds on (maybe certain tvs play video games or dvds better). Lastly Im possibly wiling to shell out an extra 50 bucks if something MUCH better catches my eye. Any suggetsions would be greatly apprciated.

Several people seem to like the 27" Akai (a Samsung rebadge). Check out this recent thread:

I would spend a little more & get the 27 Wega so you get the Anamorphic squeeze, I found mine open box for $450 at best buy

The akai (and Samsung) also have the anamorphic squeeze mode.

I'm also looking for a new TV. Every model of Samsung that I've seen have looked amazing. Unfortunately I don't have a Sam's Club membership

I would go with the 27" Akai over the 24" VVega. The 3'' in screen size difference will make a much bigger impact. The Akai is a great tv with outstanding picture quality. Incidently, they make an Akai 24" also, which is much cheaper than the Sony, but it lacks the anamorphic squeeze function the 27" has.
