Direct TV preferred direction - SE or SW?

I know that for Direct TV you need at least an unobstructed view of the southern sky. I thought I also remember hearing something more specific - SW or SE or it does not really matter? Can any subscribers comment?

The satellite is over the Equator to the south of Texas - if you're in the East, its SW. If you're in the West, it's SE. If you're in the South, the angle is steep. Enter your zip code here: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/DishPointerServlet
