Molding/Bonding speaker wire?

Is there a way to mold the end of speaker wire? For example when you cut speaker wire, the ends are just tens of strands of individual wires which can get messy/difficult to work with. It'd be nice if I could mold these wires into one thick wire. I have some 12 Guage wire and simply twisting the end does not do a good enough job for the small hole I have to fit it into.

Is there a way to do this, possibly using heat to melt the wire etc. Or could I just use a match to bond the copper? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You can twist the wire.

At this point you could add some type of connector, banana, spade etc.

You could also simply "tin" the end with some solder to hold it together.

Yeap like Brian said, just solder the ends. If you do check your connections after a week as the solder will take a set which could lossen your connection.
