How close is too close for UNsheilded speakers near a TV?

I just moved all my home theater stuff around a bit and I was wondering if my speakers are too close to my TV set??

Here are a few pictures. The large tiles are 18x18 inches, and the little ones are 12x12 inches.

The speakers are Cerwin Vega VS-150s (15 inch subs), and the powered sub is a JBL 15.

pics are about 250K each just so you know.

Thanks in advance!!

The distance you have your left one is good and you won't have any problems with the right. One of the key indicators that your speaker is too close is if the color on the TV changes near the speaker. For the magnetic field that most speakers generate, about one foot to 18 inches will do the trick. But again the color thing is the best indicator. The magnetic interference will create interesting shades of purple and green.
