New model recommendations, please

I need to buy a new unit for my sister (I won't embaress her by telling you what she did to the last one) and I'm having trouble finding one with all the features I want.

I"m looking for a good unit but I don't need progressive scan for this one.

I want a multi-disk changer that can play CDR and CDRWs, MP3 cds and can do random play across all the disks when she's using it for playing CDs.

For the DVD player side of things I just want a good full featured player.

Any suggestions???

Thanks in advance!!!

The Kenwood DV-605 looks like it may do random CD play, according to the Kenwood home page here:

http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2453

It's also got progressive scan, but it's pretty cheap considering the features (Kenwood MSRP = $230-350, but BB has it on the web site for $199.99).

I also saw the Panasonic DVD-CV52K for $179.99, before a $20 mail-in gift card deal through BB, but the Circuit City site has user reviews, and one said this player will not play random across CDs. Also, no progressive scan (but I saw that you don't really need that for this player).

Even though you don't have to have progressive scan, looks like the Kenwood might be the best deal out there for you. You may be able to find it for much less, too. I'll update if I find anything better.

P.S. (update): Well, not sure if these are better, but here are 2 more to look at; can't tell from info I'm finding whether they'll play random across CDs, but otherwise they seem to fit your criteria:

(Update) Here's a Samsung changer I saw on the Circuit City site, with a customer review that seems to indicate it will play random across CDs:
