Toshiba colorstream

anyone familiar with this? apparantly it uses 5 inptus instead of 3 for connecting to a dvd player. I believe it breaks the video into 3 cables, each dedicated to a primary color (red, green, blue) and then the tv reassembles the color for a superior picture. i was wondering if anyone knows anything about this and if it is better than regular 3 cable video/audio setup. (i just bought a toshiba tv with this technology.)

Colorstream = component video

It's more complex then the primary colors...

The other two are for stereo sound...but hook your DVD player to your receiver.

A simple search on the forum should have found your answer, but basically L&O is right. Toshiba was one of the manufacturers at the forefront of DVD and component video and decided to give it a fancy name to make their stuff sound better.

I have a Tosh DVD player and love it.
