Phillips Pronto TSU-1000 touch screen remote cheap?

Ok

This had been talked about before. I really want to get my hands on one of these! There was someone who posted in a thread here about getting it from some company (refrubed maybe?) for $150 and it came with full warranty

Anyone??

Hmm, this is what I've found:

Pronto TSU-1000 Refurb for $119.95 w/90 day warranty

Pronto TSU-500 New for $148.49

Pronto TSU-2000 for $173.95

I was unfortunately unable to find exactly what you were looking for.

Great!

Thanks gotapex!

You are on my Christmas List!

I am tempted to get that TSU-2000!

edit: OUCH! Shipping for that last link is $17.42! And they list the TSU-2000 as having 1MB of memory.. thought it was 2 MB?

I got to admit, that TSU2000 is tempting for me too. I got one of the world's worst remotes (from my H/K AVR8000 receiver).

Philips Pronto Homepage

You get so much more with the TSU2000 than the TSU1000 or TSU500. It's a TSU6000 without the 8mb of memory, color, and base.

I have a friend who would rather give up his 65" Toshiba than part with his Pronto. Freaky.

You could always buy from onecall and pricematch it.

Will onecall.com honor such a STEEP Price match? Onecall's price is AROUND $400. I would LOVE to have it price matched at $173 from that Yahoo store

Can anyone tell me the BIG differences between the TSU-1000 and TSU-2000 ??

ALSO, for once, I think an extended service plan would be a good deal for hit

If they won't, then buy it elsewhere and use AMEX corp gold or optima to pricematch.

I don't have either -

So, can someone elaborate on the major differences between the TSU-1000 and the TSU-2000?

I purchased my RC3000 on ebay for about $300.00. I really didn't have that much time to program it so I sold it for $325.00. I would have to tell you guys to check out the MX-500 remote.

MX-500

This is where I purchased it a for $125.00 about 4 months ago. I just love it. That is for the price.

Review on the MX-500

Check out this site: http://www.remotecentral.com/remotes.htm They have reviews, faqs, forums, files and more. It will make your head hurt.

For the Pronto stuff, scroll down a little more than half the page.

Has anyone been successful in getting Onecall to pricematch this?

The differences are... the ammount of memory, 1mb for the 1000 2mb for the 2000. The color of the remotes are different,1000 dark blue teal sort of color, 2000 silver. 1mb of memory is sufficient for most people, unless you plan on cataloging your CD or DVD collections on your pronto.(really only useful for people who have mega changers and dont remove their disks.) I doubt if onecall would match the price on a refurb.
