Need opinion on this TV (55rpw4h)

I was at Bestbuy yesterday looking around and saw this Sharp 55" WS HDTV (55rpw4h) for 1800 openbox. Is this a good tv? Anyone have any anecdotes on this one? Is it worth getting the warranty on the tv (an extra $300) or is it possible to buy in-home warranties from other companies for lesser cost? Finally, is 1800 a good price for this TV (I couldn't find it on pricegrabber or mysimon). Thanks all.

BTW, here is the link to the specs:

For that price I think I would rather have the 48in JVC they sell, but thats just me. I don't think there is anything wrong with sharp but they have never made particularly good televisions. I would not think their HD tvs would be any different.

I purchased the 4h in feb 2002. The picture is stunning with great color. I paid 1,998 plus $300 for the warranty. I have heard complaints about a vertical line, but I have not had this problem. After adjusting the set using the Avia dvd I am completely satisfied. I did my t.v search with an open mind, doing my own comparisons(panasonic, samsung, sony, mitsubishi, pioneer) Pioneer also displayed a stunning pic. I'll be picking up the jvc d-vhs at gg next week and I'll give you the full report on T2 next week.
Good set so far.
