Suggestions for MP3 Recorder/Player for Home Theatre

I would like some suggestions on buying a MP3 REC/Play unit to hook up to my home theatre.but would also like to have the ability to travel with it .What units are the best for the money.

The 10 Gig Archos is very portable (and can double as a portable harddrive) and under $200. The 20 GB unit is a bit over $300.
