Hitachi Home Theater System

I was looking at the sams club web page and saw they have Hitachi Home Theater System with Progressive scan and DTS for only $299. I was wondering what you guys thought of the brand and the product. I'm looking for a good price system that will suffice me until I get out of college.

I looked at this at sams Club, too because I am looking for a small packaged Dvd system for the bedroom. Unfortunetley, they don't have one hhoked up to a tv so I can't comment on image quality, but I can say I was not real impressed with the sound. They had a Panasonic for about the same price ( but no progressive scan or DTS) that sounded alot better. Hitachi makes some good stuff, I wouldn't let the brand scare you off, but if your tv is progresive- capable , I don't think a $300 system is going to do it justice.

I think it looked and sounded pretty good. I am thinking about getting one for the bedroom.
