My Onkyo C600 is dying. What to replace it with?

My Onkyo C600 is getting the "no disc" problem. It is becoming more and more frequent and I sometimes have to eject the tray 3 or 4 times to get it to finally find the DVD. I think this is a problem I've heard of before with this model and I'm assuming it won't be worth the cost of repairing this two year old player.

What to replace it with is my problem? I would like a player with the the same picture quality, enhanced black level adjustment, and CD-R and VCD compatibility would be nice. I can do with out it being multi disc.

Any suggestions for the best on in the $300 range.
