Buying (and Playing) non R1 DVDs

Ive been on this board for some time, and there seems to be a good amount of you guys that live in "Region 1" that have some non-Region 1 DVDs. Now, Im sure its fairly easy to obtain these, whether its from a foreign e-tailer or from Ebay. My question is, how do you guys play them? Do you have the old easily hackable Apex, or do you have a crack on your PowerDVD software that allows you to change regions? Do you have 4 different DVD players, or do you have a "mod-chip" type deal on the one DVD you have. Just wondering since there are some other region DVDs Id like to get my hands on. Thanks!

This type of question is better suited for the DVD & Home Theater Hardware forum, thus moving.

Yes to the first three methods you listed.

I've got a Malata all-region PAL/NTSC player...so I can play any region in either format.

I purchased the easily hackable Apex player. I travel to Australia quite a bit and purchase a lot of DVD's when I'm there. I also purchase on line from Australia using EzyDVD , the exchange rate right now is pretty good.

I have a Raite 715 DVD player. It plays everything. You change the region with the remote (or turn off the region crap).

Obligatory:

www.vcdhelp.com has a list of dvd players, and lots of how to make some of them region free.
