About Dvd Players SONY!

First of all, even if the player was hackable, Sony wouldn't tell you how to do it. Sony owns a movie studio and has a vested interest in preserving region coding. Their players are very difficult to hack, requiring a different chip set to be installed by somebody who really knows what he's doing.
Second, you get into the whole video standard issue. Even if you could hack the player, it won't do you any good unless you have a TV capapble of displaying the PAL video format.
You're better off getting a multi-region player that does PAL to NTSC conversion.
