How do I connect speaker wires to JBL Studio Series center channel speakers???

Does anyone have a JBL Studio Series 3-way center channel speaker? If so, could you PLEASE tell me the best way to connect the speaker wires to it in the back? It has a strange connection setup I've never seen before, where you unscrew this metal thing that reveals a hole which I assume the wires go into vertically, and then tightens back around the wires. But do I need some sort of an adapter (banana plug?) of some sort, or do I just stick in the wires and tigthen the thing onto the end of the speaker wire? ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS!

Sounds like it has five way binding posts.

You can either unscrew it and place the wire in the hole and tighten it down or put the wire in banana plugs and plug them in.

Thanks! Is one preferrable over the other? I always thought the fewer adapters, etc. the better, i.e. the more direct the connection the better, but will I get better sound one way over the other?
Thanks again!

I've never noticed a difference either way, but I use banana plugs on my setup.

If you disconnect the wire alot or move the speakers around alot go with bananas since they are easier to disconnect.

If you don't touch them just go with bare wire and save the money:)

Excellent. Will do. I don't plan on moving this beautiful speaker for quite some time, so I think I will just leave it, if there's no real difference in sound quality.
