Did I do okay at Ubid?

I generally shy away from them, but have gotten an occasional deal when buying quantity. I won 3 of these <img src=http://www.sennheiserusa.com/images/products/evolution/eh2200.jpg> Sennheiser EH2200 headphones which retail for $129.99 (naturally the max bid on Ubid was like $220), and the lowest I see on Ebay is $59 with a BIN of $69. I got 3 for $29 each plus $12 shipping for all three. I have a pair of these (after a recommendation from this board) and liked them so much, I bought the company.

They will make some great gifts, and I am amazed at what good headphones really sound like. That and I am suprised to find a good deal at Ubid

You know you did. Just admit it.

C'mon. It's good for ya.

Seriously. Nice job. Although I've never heard these, I do own Sennheiser HD-580s and HD-545s.

Is it a Wega with a headphone jack?

Yep.
I need it for my Mom. Some BITCH moved in next to her and complains that the TV is too noisy. After 10 she bangs on the wall. SO, I thought if I could get her wireless headphones, things would go easier.
The jack is right in the front and works well with walkman phones. Standard jack.

Budget?

Sennheisers are nice. In general I'd tend to recommend going with something non-cheap. E.g., these, these.

There are plenty of places to buy Sennheisers at a discount, so try to be like kvrdave and shop around.

Also, this is a pretty good read.

So the Sennheiser's are wireless????
Do I plug a base unit into the jack?
Or what?

minifigg 01-30-02 07:36 PM

Oh, budget, $100 or under...

minifigg 01-30-02 07:42 PM

So these would be good?

Here's a similar model at the Sennheiser site: http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser...g?OpenDocument

Here's the owner's manual, which should have all kinds of hook-up info (assuming you can get it to load, which I can't at the moment): http://www.sennheiser.com/Sennheiser.../81855_eng.pdf

My guess is that you plug the base unit into the jack and a power outlet.

Did you read the article that I called "a good read" a few posts back?

They go for $80 at buy.com

I tend to want to stay away from IR headphones and go with 900mhz, but am tempted by anything from Sennheiser. I don't know that I would buy a different brand after hearing the difference.
