TV stopped working, any ideas?

The TV which I had in my bedroom was a 19" Samsung TV, manufactured in 1994. One day my then three year old was either turning off the TV, or changing stations, and it just completely turned off and hasn't worked since.

I opened it up and took a look around but couldn't see anything obvious (there is a fuse, but it was good (tested with a volt meter)).

Any ideas?

I know that I could buy a new 19" TV for $150 or so, but if I can fix this for $40 or so I would rather go that route. It had been a good TV.

I also know that I could take it to a TV repair shop, but they will want $25 or so just to look at it. If it is something straight forward, I want to do the work myself to save a few bucks.

Thanks!

When did this problem start?

Reason I ask is that a friend of mine had his little girl do something similar and the way we fixed it was do a simple unplugging of the power for several hours (overnight even), then plugged it back in and it came back to life.

I think the curcuits reset themselves or something...

However, if you've had it unplugged for some time now, and plugged it back in and still nothing, then this "trick" is moot.

It's trying to tell you to start saving up for an HDTV set.
