Help!!
 

I've run into a problem, I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in or not but anyway,


I just finished watching Hannibal and now it won't come out of my player, the tray comes out but the disk stays in. I can still watch the movie when I shut the tray but it won't come out.

Any suggestions on how to get it out, without taking the player apart?

here is one idea
 

turn the player upside down and hit eject....everything should function with the machine upside down....taking it apart will be more of a problem than you think.

I tried that and it wouldn't work, but thanks for the suggestion


I took it apart and it was a pain in the @$$


now hopefully it will work when I put it back together

Did you get Hannibal previously viewed from BBV? I had a copy of Fast and the Furious that had a small amount of adhesive on the security sticker. The disk wouldn't come out. I figured it had something to do with the disk so I took it to BBV and they had it serviced.

Just an idea.

yes i did get it from BBV and I thought that was the problem

I got the DVD player put back together and it works fine, thank god1


in the process Hannibal got scratched really bad, and I don't think it will play, now my question is since it has been less than 30 days should I be able to take this to BBV and get a new one?

Definately. It was their fault the disc got caught up inside your machine, and thank God it didn't screw up the machine itself. Considering the DVD already paid for itself many times over during the time it was rented, it's the very least they can do.

I wish you the best on getting them to give you anything. I think that the best you could hope for is to get a new disk.

I was told that if they identified that the "stuck" DVD wasn't theirs then they would charge me for everything. The impression that I got was that had the movie not still be in the player they wouldn't have done anything.

After that PVT incident, I have now begun taking a Kleenex to the top of the DVD in the store and if any part of it sticks, I ask for a different one.
