Will this work with the portable DVD players? This company also makes LCD screens and systems for cars and planes.

You didn't seem to be getting any response in Bargains. Let's see if a forum more oriented to your question would be better.

I'm not sure. What kind of outputs does a PS1 have for video?

That price is very interesting.

I looked for more info on this thing using google. It only found the pages by Outpost. Interesting thing is to looked at an older cached page by google. There the price is $179.95

I wonder if the price was really lowered by $100 recently ....

www.rosenproducts.com is down and their sister site http://dev.rosenproducts.com/btoc/avi.asp only shows the units already made up into complete systems at about $1100.00.

I think the only way to really find out would be to order it. I think the Sony version made for the PS2 has the connections for hooking up to regular DVD players, but I don't know about this one. The accessories being sold with it are all PS2, but the picture has it with a PS1, so go figure.

It wouldn't surprise me that the price has come down $100.00.

Anybody feel like writing to [email protected] and asking questions?

I bought something similar or the same for my son once for his Playstation. It was designed to plug into a PS1 (not the original Playstation). While it should work with any standard NTSC video source that has composite video output, the problem is power.

The unit was designed so that the PS1 could get the power that it requires from the unit. If you want to hook up a Nintendo 64 or a DVD player, you need to get your power somewhere else. If you are in your house, this should not be a problem, but I'm betting that you want it for portable use.

We ended up returning the unit.
