Kenwood VR-509 reciever remote

This is a nice remote, just a couple questions though.

1) When you program it to learn something, for example, PIP, can u program it for one button, or do u always have to go into the menu, then press one of the extend buttons?

2)Is there anyway u can rename the extend buttons, for my TV, I use all 5 of them, but i always forget which is which?

3)I'm still having trouble puttin macros in, well not really, but the one im having trouble with is trying to input 16x9 anamorphic squeeze mode (i have a wega)?

i hope someone can answer a couple of these questions

Please be patient. This is not a high volume site. Your post is the same day. People are from all over many many time zones. I'm looking at a VR-509 now but don't have it yet.

1. Have you done a forum search?

2. I have a small house. I am divided over the Kenwood HTB-504 HT in a box, or VR-509 and separate speaker package. Money is an issue. The HTB-504 rear speakers are monopole, I read. I really wanted di or bi-pole for the rears, since the room is small and the rears would not be behind the listeners. However, the timbre needs to match the entire set also.

I can wait until May, if I have to, to get the sound system.
