is it bad to put anything on top of a subwoofer?

is it bad to put anything on top of a subwoofer?

if i put a floorspeaker on top of the subwoofer, is that going to harm the speaker/subwoofer or the sound? thanks

you're not likely to harm anything, per se, but you will likely have an annoying vibration issue. Your main speaker is going to be rattling atop the subwoofer. To me, that's almost as bad as physical damage.

Yeah, I'd recommend just leaving the subwoofer by itself.

I put my JBL floorspeaker on my MTX subwoofer and I have no problems of any kind, not even rattling.

I used to have a wire DVD rack on my sub, but that sucker moved around to much during U-571 . Now I have an autographed football on top of it that doesn't move around at all.

I have my left front PSB Alpha B sitting on my sub, the right sits on a table. I have no rattling issues at all.
