Projection-Color Alightment problem
I am having a problem with my 3 year old Zentih projection TV. The colors are not aligned properly. A friend of mine told me the color guns or something need to be repaired. We checked the TV setup menus and saw that the problem cant be fixed with that. Text shows a red outline and is blurry. The picture is not sharp as a result of this. Does anyone know if this is a big repair. I have to call somebody in and dont want to get ripped off.

It doesn't sound like anything more then your TV needing to be converged. Most manufacturers give you a 9 point convergence that can be done in the user menus that can let you do a so-so job of converging the CRT's but you need to go into the service mode to do the larger point convergence (usually around 64 point) and do the fine adjustments there. It's operates the same way as the 9 point convergence where you are aligning the three colors(CRT's) to create white lines. Pioneer is one of the few manufacturers that offers a 72 point convergence right in the user menus to let you do all the convergence with ease!
