Luxman DVD players?
 

Can anyone tell me about this company, and thier DVD players? A friend of mine said he saw one on sale for $400, and it's msrp is normally around $1000 .... I've never heard of Luxman nor do i know anything particular about this model on sale.

All i know is that they speicalize in audio components, but that's just about it.

Luxman was the home audio and video line for Alpine products - I was under the impression they stoped making products years ago.

Luxman makes great amps and preamps but I don't know anything about their DVD players. It is quality gear so I would imagine the DVD is good. Do you know what the specs on the DVD player are?

I have no idea. Like i said, the friend says the DVD was originally about $1000 cdn and now discounted @ $400 cdn. Boxing Day deal. I'd imagine for $1000 it must be prety impressive... thier home page is down atm as well. :(

Luxman is a very good (old line) company. Frankly I thought they were out of business as I used to look at their products 20 years ago.

I would be curious who is manufacturing these items.
