RX-8010VBK Can someone answer some questions for me?
http://www.jvc.com/product.jsp?model...L026350&page=2
I posted about this JVC Receiver a few months back
I am thinking of finally picking it up, well, at least asking for it for Christmas
I notice the description lists it as having:
5 Composite Video Inputs
5 S-Video Inputs
(unrelated but also included)
2 Component Inputs
Does this mean, with 5 Composite and 5 S-Video I will have room to hook up 10 or more Devices to this receiver?
It sounds like a lot, but I want to clear it up
Can I hook up at LEAST 5 composite Devices AND
5 S-Video Devices
for a total of at LEAST 10?
AND...
Does this receiver come equipped with Dolby Pro-Logic 2?
It would be nice, since I just got a Game Cube
If it does not have "Dolby Pro Logic II" can anyone recommend the next cheapest JVC brand that DOES have it?
Cheers!

while i can understand up to a point, i think all Onkyo receivers come with a learning remote.
I don't know. I guess I just got soured on JVC after my 701 DVD player was such a royal pain in the rear.

There are alot of great rcvrs out there. I have a JVC 888=9010 this year. Great unit//
BUT:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
No stereo on the rear channels, no discrete rear amps.
Be sure to buy a rcvr with at least 5 separate discrete amps and dolbyII// This will pump real sound into your rear amps when you listen to cd's. CD's are only in stereo=s u c k s big time!!!!
My list of el-cheapo good rcvrs is:
1. Sony 1075 for $394=6 discrete amps
2. thats it
List of real expensive marriage breaking rcvrs.
1. Yamaha 2200
2. Denon 3802
3. Onkyo 898= divorse at Christmas

What are the differences between the 9010 and the 8010 ?
Does the 8010 or 9010 Have Dolby Pro Logic II ?
What do you mean no stero in the rear?
And is the remote with either receiver a "learning remote"
I have been looking at the Pronto TSU-1000 (or 2000) anyway, so no matter I guess (IF I ever give in and get it!) :-)
Thanks guys
--Oh, and this is for a fairly small room with a low ceiling, in my parent's home (the old attic) so it does not have to be mega powerful)
I would like Pro Logic II for the gamecbue though
