Kenwood VR-507 Versus Denon AVR-1802
I'm planning on buying a new receiver and I have narrowed it down to 2 receivers, a Denon AVR-1802 or a Kenwood VR-507.
I need a receiver with at least 2 optical digital inputs and at least one coaxial digital input. It has to have both DTS and Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II is a huge plus. It also has to have S-Video Inputs.
I'm in favor of the Kenwood VR-507 right now, which is quite a bit cheaper compared to the Denon AVR-1802, and has alot of the features I listed above.
I don't want to spend more than $500 (excluding the shipping and handling). If anyone knows of a receiver that is better than these two please let me know.
I am mostly a DVD movie watcher and also use my receiver for Playstation 2 Gaming and Television.
Looking forward to everyones opinion

Personally, I would go with the Denon, just because I am not big fan of Kenwood, especially their amplifier sections. The best way to determine what receiver to get is by trying each one out with the speakers you are going to use if at all possible.
I am looking at picking up the 2802 or maybe the 3802 myself in the next few months, and have been very impressed with the way the Denon sound with my JBL studio series speakers. If they both have the same features you are looking for, get the one that sounds best.

Among the two receivers you mentioned, the Denon 1802 is the best hands down. But my favorite receiver in your price range is the Onkyo 595. It has all the features you need and can be found for as little as $365 online.
