Just got a 32" Wega-How do I prevent burning in the screen??

Title pretty much sums it up. How do i prevent cetain images from being burned in to the screen?? The manual says things such as TV station logos can become burnt in? Does this mean I shouldnt watch TV on my Wega?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the manual also states the burning problem is not covered with the warranty (great).

Well I don't know much specifically about the Wega, but burn in occurs when something is repeatedly shown on the screen. So if you watched a channel a lot, the logo of that channel is osmetimes in the bottom right corner. still those logos aren't bright and with commericals and other channels shouldn't be a huge concern.

Another helpful hint is to turn down the brightness of your TV. Tweaking the settings like that can further prevent burn-in

Don't worry about Burn-in on your Wega, it is not really a concern on CRT displays. If you had a RPTV you should be somewhat worried, but not a direct-view Wega.

The only possible way burn in could occur is if you left one image on the screen non-stop for weeks or even months at a time. As it is the network logos are not on during commericals and not as bright as before, so there is little to no risk.

also, don't all Wega's degauss when they turn on?
that should (will) also help prevent burn in, won't it?
