Need help fixing TV picture.

My girlfriends WS TV is a Toshiba 28w93b and the picture is warped because I screwed around in service mode trying to eliminate the overscan. Is there any site than can help me on this. The TV is still under warranty so I could lie and said it warped itself but I would rather sort it out on my own. Any help from anyone or any recommended sites? Please?

Her DVD player is a Samsung 709 and it goes back to non-anamorphic every chance it gets. We keep having to set the anamorphic setting all the stinkin' time. Is there a way to lock it in anamorphic? Any help? Please, please, please?

My last 2 cries for help were ignored.

I recently screwed my tv up by finding some undocumented way to make it think it was a different model number. I bought the service manual and it was pretty easy to follow through it and fix everything. This may work for you.

My tv was a JVC so your mileage may vary.

BTW, I tried to get rid of overscan on my tv too but it wasn't worth it. Broadcast tv stations have some junk in the top and bottom couple of lines and I never could quite get the geometry to look correct on the right and left sides of the picture.

You can call Toshiba, maybe they're willing to help...

Another great site for TV info is www.hometheaterspot.com Sorry, I know of no fix for the player. My 5109 stays in 16:9 mode once it's set
