What TV do you use to view your collection?

I've been using an old 27" TV that I need to replace and wondered what you folks are using and are pleased with. Looks like the Sony Wega is popular, but maybe there are better/just as good set that are less expensive, less heavy.

So... what do you use that you're happy with?

I use a 36" Sony VVega KV-36FS12, calibrated with Video Essentials. I'd prefer if the 16x9 toggle (not automatic on this version) could be activated with a button on the remote instead of fiddling through menus, but I absolutely love this set.

I have a Sony KV-36 FV27. I have also calibrated it with Video Essentials. All and all it is OK. I have had it for a couple of years and am starting to get some picture distortion on the left side of the screen. If I had to do it over again, I probably would not get this TV again.

Hitachi 43FDX01B. High Def, 16x9 switchable from remote. Comparable in price to the Sony 36" Wega XBR (maybe a couple hundred more). About 150 lbs w/o stand. Wouldn't trade it for any Wega. Have it paired with a Sony DVP-NS700P progressive scan player. Love 'em both.

Mitsubishi 55807, 16:9 55" HDTV for my dvds that are enhanced, and an older Pioneer 50 inch standard tv for dvds that aren't enhanced, and a 32 inch Sanyo in the bedroom for night time dvds. Needless to say, the HDTV is my favorite and most used!

Mitsubishi 53-inch widescreen TV. It's fantastic. The widescreen shape and the large size make for a tremendously immersive experience, like being in the movie theater (but better! no annoying audience!).

I'll admit to having a little "TV Envy"! I have a 36" Toshiba and a 27" Mitsubishi that I watch all my goodies on. (Hi Holly! )

OK, so I guess I have a "micro" Home Theatre System.

I have my Pioneer DV-434 player attached (via component cables) to a 20" Toshiba flatscreen tube.

Man, boy do I feel inadequate.

I used to watch my movies on my 19' Monitor Screen (PC).

But now I "upgraded" to my 21' Samsung TV. lol..

buy hey! I'm just a starved college kid.

boy o boy...what I wouldn't do for a nice Sony VVega 36" tv =)

I view mine on a Mitsubishi 55807. I used to have a 32" Hitachi and before that a 27" Zenith. Viewed my first 2.35:1 WS movie on a 19" TV and loved every minute of it.
