Advice Needed: New TV for around $200-$300
I just recently decided to buy a new TV and I have roughly $200-$300 to spend. I was hoping that I could get some advice as to what TVs I should consider and also where I could get the most out of my money.
I'm hoping for a 27" TV and if possible, perhaps even a flat screen although I understand that these are quite expensive.
Currently I'm considering just buying from a B&M purely based upon the fact that I don't want to pay for the otherwise heavy shipping costs that could come with a TV. This decision also comes in light of the recent events involving the stoppage of all air travel, commercial or otherwise.
So please, what should I consider?

You can get a 20" flat screen in that price range. Forget about a 27" flat screen, although you are in a reasonable price range to get an ok 27". Not great, but ok. Personally I would save another 50 bucks or so and get a nicer 27".

Try looking for a Toshiba 27A40 or 27A41. Online they can be found for as low as $295, so perhaps the B&M price wouldn't be too much more expensive. They come with component video inputs which are really nice to have.

The Toshibas are nice, also consider the JVC D-series. It's really worth it to scrape up another $50. At the $325-350 price range there are more options. Go to Best Buy and see what the extra money will get you.
As Skar said buy a set with component inputs to allow for future growth.
You will not find a 27" flat screen in this price range.
