I am checking this all in one home theater (Panasonic SC- HT 290)system out but I can't seem to find any reviews on it. From what I've read the reciever is the same as the Technics SA-DX940 and the dvd player seems to be the Panasonic DVD-CV51.

I can get a real steal on this system and am wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these items.

I have the Technics DX930, not sure how similar it is to the 940, but overall I was happy with it - however I recently upgraded to a Denon 3802. You might want to check over at audioreview, there are 100 user reviews of the 940 (average rating 3.97/5):

I also had a SA-DX930 for 3 years. I just upgraded to a Marantz SR5200 myself. If I were to be starting today I would buy a Onkyo or Denon left over instead.
