DVD/VCR combinations?
 

Does anyone have any info on these. I have a friend who wants to buy one, and she asked me what I thought. I have never seen one and definitely wouldn't buy that combination together, but she probaly will. Any info will be helpful.

It's my understanding that Macrovision is still active in these combination players. She'll be able to dupe and discs that aren't Macrovision-enabled, but those are rare.

IMHO she's better off getting separate units. If something goes wrong, she'll be out both the DVD player and VCR.
