MP3's on DVD question

I just noticed that our new DVD player can play MP3 files. I have several CD-R's with MP3 files on them, and to my surprise, they play fine on the DVD Player.

So being new to DVD, I have a question: Does anyone know if it's possible to create a CD-R full of MP3 music files, and to record the titles of the songs on the disk so that they show up on the DVD menu? Or is this something that can only be done with a DVD recorder & appropriate software? I'm using an HP 8100 cd recorder, and the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 software, by the way.

Thanks,

Steve.

Depends on the DVD player.
Some can read song titles.
Some can't.
