New Toshiba HDTV Specs?

I noticed that Toshiba has changed the look on the cabinets of their new line of HDTVs. Also, in at least some models, there's been a significant weight reduction. I was able to find the specs for the 57" TV (57H81), & it only weighs 230 pounds. My current 4:3 weighs 190 lbs. and it was very easy for two of us to lift it up a couple steps on to my front porch and into my living room. The depth of the 57" model has also been reduced. I believe it's roughly 24 or 25" deep, which is also less than my current TV. For these reasons, I'm seriously considering buying the 57H81. But, I want to find out the specs of the new 65H81 first. I know the 65H80 weighs well over 400 lbs, somewhere in the neighborhood of 430, but I cannot find the weight of its replacement, the 65H81. The weight of the TV is very important to me, since there will most likely be just two of us carrying it into my house (unless I buy online and have it delivered...in which case I don't want it to be shipped across the country and have the movers be unable to get it in the house).

The 230 pound 57H81 should be absolutely no problem to lift, but anything very much over 300 would really be a struggle. And anything over 400 pounds is simply out of the question. Part of my concern over weight is that I'm only renting my current house, and have plans to buy within the next couple of years.

Several websites list specs for these TVs, but not all of them are updated. I believe onecall for example just copied the specs for the 65H80 for the 65H81. And Toshiba's website doesn't even list the new TVs yet. For screen size, bigger is better IMO, but only if the set can be moved by no more than two people.

Thanks!

I heard the 65H81 weighs about 270. Not too sure though.

Thanks for pointing that out. The specs at DealMountain.com had the 57H81 weighing in at 230. Er, anyway, if the 65" only weighs 260 I think I'll go for that one. I wonder what it is they did to reduce the weight so much.

Amen. I too would like to know. I hate bulky heavy tv sets.
