it's gonna be a little harder to appreciate my modest little RPTV now . they had it playing Gladiator. absoultely amazing picture. i can see what this color wheel anaomoly is that i've been reading about, and don't know how much of an irritant it would be after watching it for 2 hrs, but in the 15 minutes i was there, the picture just impressed the hell out of me. i can't believe how much technology has advanced in the last 4-5 years. the blacks looked to be decent enough, contrast looked decent and the colors were exceptionally vivid.
now that is Home Theater!

well...just spent about an hour researching this projector on one of the other forums and now i feel like i just came out of a bose showroom demo.
people seem to hold the two brand names in about the same regard.
supposedly there are $3-4000 projectors that come about 80% of the way to approaching what i saw w/ the runco
and if thats the case, i may jump in this year.
in any event, i'm glad i got the chance to see a DLP in action. i was mighty curious about that rainbow effect.
