Okay, I'm looking at getting a new TV, and I obviously want the best one I can get within a few restrictions. Any suggestions you have would be great.
1) It needs to fit in my Entertainment Center. This means the dimensions are 28" wide by 26" tall. All of the 32" TV's I've looked at are an inch or so too wide, so I guess it will have to be a 31" or less.
2) I would REALLY like the price to stay under $500 and less than that is great. I can possibly go to $600 but I would rather not.
I'm looking for something that has S-Video input for my PS/2 and VCR, as well as component in for my DVD player. I have a surround sound system, so speakers aren't important.
It seems that Sony Wega's are pretty popular. What is the advantage to them over other brands?
Again, thanks for your help and suggestions!

Sounds like me a few months ago. I narrowed my choices down to the 27" Wega or the JVC D-Series. Both seemed the be the best flat and standard screens. I also liked the new JVC flat screen, but they did not offer a basic version with this screen. So, I got the Wega. No real complaints about this TV. The scan lines while watching regular TV took a little getting used to, but now I don't even notice them. The best feature is the 16:9 enhancement for Anamorphic DVD's. See other threads for setup info. Also, If you get the Wega, make sure you have someone around to help you move it. It is about 100lbs and awkward.
Sears had them on sale for $569 for their Super Saturday Sale. They may still be discounted.

Thanks for your suggestions. I think I've decided to go all out and spend the money for the Wega. I've seen that Sears will do an on-line price match, and I found the Wega for $521 at CrazyEddie.com http://store.yahoo.com/crazyeddieonline/gensym-257.html Seems to be a pretty good price for an awesome TV.
Thanks again!
