I like Toshiba players. I don't know the current model numbers, but I have a SD-2109,SD-3109,SD-6109 and a Panasonic C-220 5 disc DVD changer.
I have never had problems with any of them.
Whenever I buy Sony products they break, luckily within the warranty period though. I did buy a Sony DVD Player once(forget the model #) and it also broke

dvd-players between 200 and 300 dollars?
check out the new zenith line. i have the 2200 model with dolby digital. its a single tray, i only watch one dvd at a time, and i dont use it for cds, so it will last longer. if you want the 5 disc changer its the 2250 model. i payed $179 for the 2200 and i am very well pleased. since zenith was taken over by lg electronics, their products have improved greatly. respectfully yours joe rinando (sasheegm) of florida.
