Hello,
I need some cables to setup my home theater/music system.
I figured I will need:
1. Speaker wire (probably about 40 ft total)- banana plugs or pins make a difference?
2. Coaxial Digital cable
3. Component Video Cable (possible to use 3 X RCA cables?)
I am looking to spend under $100. Any suggestions for the cables greatly appreciated since I am new to this and have no clue what I am doing.
I do have about $35 in Amazon money left over that I could spend on cables. Do you think the Monster Digital Coaxial or the Monster component video is worth spedning my coupons on?
Also what kind of speaker wire should I get? I dont exactly know the difference between the different types of wire and connections.
Thanks.

For my coaxial digital cable, I'm using a regular shielded RCA-style video cable. It works fine... I had an optical cable originally, and this works just as well. And yes, I've heard it's okay to use RCA cables for your component video... do a search in this forum, and you'll surely find some threads on this.
